The WordYes Word - Plain Language Edition"I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayst be rich: and white raiment, that thou mayst be clothed, that thy filthy nakedness do not appear: and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayst see." [Rev 3] The plain language Edition is an attempt to make the old and middle English of the Tyndale translation easier for the modern reader to understand. One way it does this is by replacing many of the outdated words with more modern ones.
For example, there are many “yeas” in the original and these being changed to “yeses” was the inspiration for calling it the “Yes Word.” It also contains many added footnotes that help explain some of the more difficult
and less common words. DOWNLOAD the entire Word for yourself, READ online, or ORDER the hardcopy. |
